{"id":339,"date":"2013-06-08T03:35:00","date_gmt":"2013-06-08T03:35:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/drmirkin.com\/2013\/06\/08\/recipe56\/"},"modified":"2013-06-08T03:35:00","modified_gmt":"2013-06-08T03:35:10","slug":"recipe56","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/drmirkin.com\/?p=339","title":{"rendered":"Tabbouleh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\tSo good, your friends will think you bought it at a Lebanese deli.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t1 cup bulgur (cracked wheat)<br \/>\n\tWater to cover<br \/>\n\t1 onion, chopped<br \/>\n\t6 green onions, white parts only, sliced thin<br \/>\n\t1 cup chopped Italian parsley<br \/>\n\t1\/4 cup mint, chopped<br \/>\n\tJuice of one lemon<br \/>\n\t2 tomatoes, chopped<br \/>\n\t1\/2 cup plain yogurt<br \/>\n\tLettuce leaves (optional)<\/p>\n<p>\n\tPlace the bulgur in a bowl and cover with cold water; allow it to soak for 2-3 hours or until the bulghar is soft. Line a colander with cheesecloth or a dish towel and pour in the bulgur; squeeze out all the excess moisture. Return the bulgur to the bowl and mix in the remaining ingredients. Chill for at least 2 hours.
