Osteoarthritis Probably Caused By Inflammation
Research from the Medical University of Vienna shows that most cases of osteoarthritis are caused by an overactive immunity, just like rheumatoid arthritis and reactive arthritis. Patients with osteoarthritis have raised tissue levels of galectins, carbohydrate-binding proteins that turn on a person’s immunity to break down cartilage in joints in the same way that a person’s immunity attacks germs when they invade your body.
Our New Tandem Ti-Trike
Ever since we got our first tandem trike and installed the electric motor, we have been looking for someone who would build us a custom trike. Three months ago we met the makers of Ti-Trikes at a bike show and were impressed with their all-titanium single trikes. They had never built a tandem trike but agreed to do one for us, incorporating their many design innovations as well as our specifications. They brought us our new tandem trike two weeks ago, and we are delighted.
Nightly Fasting Reduces Risk of Breast Cancer Recurrence
New results from the WHEL (Women’s Healthy Eating and Living) Study show that women who did not eat for at least 13 hours at night (6PM to 7AM) had a 36 percent lower risk of cancer recurrence. In a seven-year follow up of 2,413 breast cancer patients, ages 24 to 70, who did not have diabetes, 390 developed a recurrence of their breast cancer. Among those cases, the women whose last meal of the day was no later than 6PM had lower blood levels of hemoglobin A1C.

Joey Martin Feek was born on September 7, 1975 in the small town of Alexandria, Indiana. In 1998 at age 23, she moved to Nashville to pursue her singing career and in 2000 she signed with Sony Records, but her records did not sell. In 2002, she met her future husband, guitarist Rory Feek who was 10 years older. After four months of a platonic relationship, they married and she gave wedding rings to both of his daughters, Hopie and Hedi Feek, as well as to him.
