Extra Quick Chili

1 bag frozen onions and peppers
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 28-ounce can plum tomatoes, cut in pieces
1 teaspoon bouillon granules
1 tablespoon mild chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
pinch cayenne, or to taste
2 cans kidney beans or black beans
Cooked whole grains of your choice (brown rice, barley, etc.) — optional

Combine all ingredients except the whole grains in a large pot, bring to a boil and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Serve over the whole grain of your choice, if desired.
